How much more time does Sam need to be ready? 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year? When you say when the salt is ready that is open for interpretation. Some feel it wont be ready till next year, some might assume it is ready in a couple weeks. So IF the shootout were to happen THIS WEEKEND could Sam be there ready to run?

Hi Folks,

be back home from the salt....sorry...mean lake....

What a bad luck, especially for the USFRA with the canceled World of Speed and Mike Cook with the Shootout....all the work for nothing....

Done the best out of it....visit Joe Amo....Joe, thanks for the great time at your place....went from Joe to John Boy, said part of the Bockscar team hello (Stainless was coming over from Kansas). Had at John Boy's place also a great time....thanks, too.
Hit the road and was back in Wendover Wednesday night...only to watch the frustrating rain which killed all tries to run the Shootout...left the salt on Friday, had some fun with Ray on two car shows around Salt Lake City area....Ray, thanks for this.

now I'm back home and a little bit tired....

Hope we got more luck with World Finals.

Nice videos!  I'm just hoping it'll be dried up by Oct 10! If so, I'll see ya down there!

By the way, I just got one of our big contracts switched over to requiring TSO-C126, so....

My calendar is marked, bags are always packed and the hot rod is full of fuel.

Roll safe, straight and faster than the last pass....

See ya on the salt.

They went 104?  Right on!   How fast were they going when they caught it on fire?

They're probably working to find a good PR angle on that . . .

Such as . . . "the hottest bike at the event."

I wish them luck in the future. Just not sure I would have issued that press release.

Just not sure I would have issued that press release.

The #1 job is to do more press releases and generate advertising publicity.

The #2 job is to run the bike and do something.

The displacement limit for the class is 3000 cc’s and the Rocket III’s 2300 cc engine could be stroked to come just under the limit, but Carpenter Racing’s Bob Carpenter thought a better way to go would be to de-stroke the motor and use two of them.

3000 cc is one of the classes available. Not the only one. And the limit is not 3000, but unlimited. What else didn't they read in the rule book? Oh, right. No roll cage.

It does say the SCTA "S-BF" not the FIM "I.A1.C V.3+ 3000cc" OK, it might be AMA that does have a 3000 cc limit.

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

One thing for sure, it'd be hard to beat the craftsmanship of that bike. There was one hell of a lot of quality work that went into building it.

I'd have to say that give time it will run as well as it looks.

I think I'm going to take a "wait an see" on this one, and from the looks of the workmanship, that wait may not be that long.
