4 goodyear flight eagles
« on: April 25, 2013, 08:45:22 PM »
4 goodyear Flight eagle 18 ply tires.
34X9.25 18 ply tires. They have a speed rating of 225mph on side. I would
think these would be good for the guys who run the semis.....
Tires are in very good shape, no weather checking at all. Some have a patch inside.
$200 each or $700 for all 4.

Looks to me that they're 18-in tires, not 18 ply.

Looks like maybe both, 18" and 18 ply.

  Some have a patch inside.

It is not a patch but a weight. Used to ballance aircraft tires. Bad for LSR but you can pull them out. At speed they can come out and put a hole in the tire.

2 piece rim required,
as JB said the internal balance weight should be removed.  We ran a few and they pitched a little rubber on the outside in the same place that the weight was on the inside.  They were still holding air, just pitched a little of the rubber.  We did not shave them.  I could not tell if these tires were shaved in the pictures but I would advise shaving them to help keep the rubber on them.

OK yes correct 18" and 18 ply. Sorry for the misunderstanding...
It does not appear they have been shaved.

I will go check. They are not weather checked.
They look really good shape.

Here is a pic of what I think one of the date codes if you can read it.

If anyone is interested in looking at these tires I can bring them to Speedweek.
Let me know.
We are loading this weekend.

Thanks
