Serial number for log book
« on: April 23, 2013, 10:27:36 PM »
Ok so on my roll cage is a sticker or label for my car, and that number cooresponds with my log book.

I need to weld a bar very close to this label and I fear that the heat will ruin the label.

How do I deal with this?

Do I take a picture of it?

Do I ask for a new one and if so who?

In this case, I want to ask for permission or advice instead of forgiveness (grin)

Your ideas?

TIA
Clay

Also you could use some of the heat absorbing paste that the welding shops sell. Does a good job of protecting things like that.
