Current radar (9:15am) shows the storm system moving out of the area to the northeast. It will be cloudy but the rain should stop and allow some racing before it moves back in later today. or not....

Haha! I love it-Thanks!
With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

Woody –

Is that a Cheetah you posted up in your pics?  :-o

And a Talladega?  :?

All I can ask is, why am I at home framing in a frickin’ screen door?

Great photos - thanks .  A quick question if I may.  In the pictures Woody sent of bikes & cars we couldn't help but notice bike 9698 - The class marking said M/PG -
Is a large fairing up front like on bike 9698 considered "partial streamlining" ?  As read on page79 7.F.11 "Streamlining is defined as any devices or objects forward of the rider that have the apparent effect of directing, limiting, or controlling airflow around the motorcycle or rider."
Should it maybe have been MPS/PG ?
Maybe Joe D. or Joe T. could get back to us on this.  Sorry Joe T. I know your busy  - that's why I thought of 55Chevy ?

Thanks

The rains came and went!  :-( We did some laps to dry the track - no entry fee for that!   :-D
Shut down at 4:00 pm and it started to rain at the end of the track about 4:10 pm!

The new timing trailer - Joe's plywood palace!  :-D

Chris, I don't know if it was a Cheetah - no one around and no markings or scat!  :-D

It was a Cheetah replica. I briefly talked with those guys Saturday and they were just having prelim. inspection done. They are supposed to be back with it running in June. The pic I took of it was blury so I didn't post.

The Talladega (don't know if it is real or a clone) went in the upper 170's Saturday.....Cool to see it go by at the finish line.
I thought I had gotten a pic of that Saturday AM but evidentally not.....falling down on the job!  :-D

Good to hear that the weather kinda co-operated and there were some runs. Looking forward to seeing the run log from Donna and Tonya.

Speaking of the Cheetah, when I was checking it out the 1st thing that struck me was the TINY, TINY, TINY cabin.
I swear, I don't thing 1/2 of me could fit in that thing.   :-D
Cool car nonetheless.

Got home a couple of hours ago pretty tired from the trip home. Rained like a MOFO from Beckley, WV to Greensobo, NC. Rain and fog in the mountains is no fun.
So now: Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho, it's off to bed I go!  :-D (Sorry if that sticks in your head.....LOL!)
Mission accomplished here.

Thanks for posting all the pics guys! I know I had a great time working the starting line. The weather did clear late, we dried the track again...And had a quite a few more cars and bikes make 3 to 4 passes each! Alot of folks had already left, so even the cars were hot lapping  :-)
