classic altered is my guess, can't be production since they didn't make 500... can't be modified because it was never production.
A friend told me to check out this post because of some bad info........
A 1960 Royal Enfield Fury is a motorcycle which would run in the M or MPS class, depending on if it had a fairing or not.
It is a Push Rod class bike.
The displacement class would depend on the actual displacement of the engine.
Then it is either G for Gas class or F for Fuel class.
El Mirage does not use the M classes, all non-Production class sit-on bikes are in the A classes.
So a 500cc un-faired bike in the gas class would be 500cc A-PG at El Mirage.
At Bonneville it would be a 500cc M-PG
Classic Altered is a car class.
