Getting ready
« on: March 17, 2013, 01:03:12 PM »
For me half the fun of going to and competing at LSR Venues is - getting ready for the event - wrenching, testing, wrenching some more, and making sure that chassis is right on.  Our fresh cams & lifters are on the bench, just waiting on our new pistons now.  Chassis changes are done, about time to start on the engine.   Just made our Hotel reservations.
Having a relapse of Salt Fever - oh my, whats a guy to do -

See ya there

Lots of things to get ready here...........Today we fit a piston to the Triumph Cub and will have to add a shim-plate to keep the top ring in the cylinder.

I booked hotel rooms and was happy to get a pair.......seems most are full.  Does that mean the pits will be crowded?

one of the things i really enjoy about the BUB event is that it brings together motorcycle landspeed people from so many different countries, folks who have been fettling away in sheds all year on their rides are united with one common bond, 8-),
here half a world away, the worlds largest ocean between here and there is not a deterant. I have just returned from our (DLRA) event at Lake Gairdner, a 3800 mile round trip, just to test and tune my ride for BUB's, a few small adjustments to be done, then, get it orginised in a secure crate and onto a ship, where, for approx six weeks it will rock and roll across the Pacific up to San Fran, rent a UHaul and head for Bonneville, only 150 sleeps,  :-) 8-)

We will be there to test and tune the setup we will ship to AUS.  Sorta like what you are doing in reverse.  You will enjoy it here and I hope to meet you on the salt.
