Nancy, start looking early. He's slippin' away.

Another B'Day?  That's a step on the way to getting old.

FREUD

Follow Freud's advise because in another few years he may be starting to get old!   :-D

I if I could keep up with Freud, I probably wouldn't last long enough to reach Slim's age!  :-D

Happy Birthday, Jon.  This is sorta late.  It is the day after your birthday in UP at this time of the night in Oregon.

To cap my celebration we did a couple of things -- a bit of which would qualify as TMI.  But we also left the house, driving to a location where we'd have an unobstructed view to the west at sunset.  We spent a half-hour, at least, awaiting the right amount of darkness and cloudlessness -- but never did see the comet (PanSTARRS).  Dang it.  We had binoculars and even the long lens camera and a tripod (hand held long exposures are best left to Pork Pie and Ray the Rat).  But nothing became visible, so eventually we left there (parked in the driveway of a cow barn and came back to the house for birthday cake with green (Key Lime flavor) frosting.

Thanks to all of you that wished me (and Nancy) a happy day yesterday.  Oh, yes -- the "big" gift Nancy presented to me was a 30' spring retrieval-wound LED shop work light (I call it a drop cored - don't know if it's got an official name).  After a couple of years of the old one being so worn out that the bulb only worked when it knew I was holding it and trying to get it to stay on when I put it into the desired position.  Now I've got the LED with shock resistance and plenty of light and so on.  Thanks, Nancy. :-D  :-D
