May I be allowed to ask how and when he was notified ?
If I ask him in a phone call then who else will learn from it ?
What is likely to happen next time ?

The answers I received for this are quite interesting.
Would you like me to share them ?

John, first of all I offer my apologies for the reference to finding another sandbox.  I realize that was pretty hypocritical coming from a guy who promotes a open forum.  Having said that, I still see nothing wrong with beating a "dead horse" in  a open forum.  The fact that we all disagree on any subject should promote open discourse, not stiflled mutterings.  I, along with others, sometimes post for the sake of argument, just to see how others might view the same subject.  This does not mean that I don't value anyone elses opinion, it just means that I am open to any one elses opinions.  I, myself, have changed my opinion on subjects offered on this site after reading various pro and con arguments.  I just don't want public opinion stiffled because you or I don't think it is politically correct.  With that I will offer the old axiom, remember " opinions are like ass holes, they all stink". lol.  Lets go racing...........Bob

Bob, Thanks, but no apologies are necessary.

I agree that reasonable people will have different opinions and thats normal and OK. My main gripe is really with the seemingly constant negativity that is on this site. Before I started attending the SCTA meetings, I was part of the negativity around here (what? you don't believe me? look at some of my older posts!). Once I started attending these little get togethers, I realized how wrong, and unfair I had been to the people who were running the SCTA.

As I have posted before, it's easy to be critical of others after the fact, in fact, it's so easy, some people seem to devote thier entire existance on this site to doing it. But it's damn hard to go in there and try to do the right thing, day in and day out. Mistakes will be made, hopefully learned from. But when they are made, lets make the best of the situation and move on, not harp endlessly about it.

The guys who volunteer to help do the day to day work that is required to let us go racing are dedicated, hard working, and (despite what a few bad apples around here keep yammering on and on about) very honest. But we are all human.

Sometimes I see this site bring out the worst in people and it can give new people the wrong impression. I have never met a group of people I would rather spend my free time with than the LSR guys, both El Mirage and Bonneville, but somehow, people who would do anything to help a fellow racer out get on this forum and bitch and moan at each other, make accusations, make insinuations and such that simply would not happen face to face.

But enough with all this crap. El Mirage is this weekend, the dirt is awesome and we got cars to get ready!

Yes Jack, we all know it's a conspiracy and that you have dedicated your life to pointing out any and all possible negatives in every situation.

Why :?:

I can't see where you would have any problems at all classing your car.  Elect --- a certain weight.  Your done and ready to go.

Even the person this thread is talking about seems satisfied with the results and is preparing for b'ville.

Why? :o  Just get a rule book, and READ IT. Then start asking questions. But I must warn you,   it gets very contagious.  :D  :D
I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

The rational person lets verified facts form or modify his opinion.  The ideologue ignores verified facts which don't fit his preconceived opinions.

HORSE WHAT ?

It was a Goat dressed as a Horse.
That was the origin of the expression "Got your goat."
Knowing the difference helps a lot.
