That's it.  WE MADE IT!  1,885 miles, 16.0 mpg, three and a quarter days, 38 4/3 hours in the truck.  No tire issues whatever, no interviews with the police.  Not bad, hey?  4/3?

Close, Don, but it was 38 3/4 hours.  As for speed - well, I think we might have topped out coasting down a hill in central Montana where we hit the mid 70s -- but with throttle only we stayed in the lower 60s.  Set the cruise control at 63 and get good gas mileage - and have time to hear an extra disc of the talking book.

Speaking of the trip -- here's one of the rewards of getting to Wendover before the event starts.  Plenty of seating at the Salt Flats Cafe --- even for me, wearing a 2013 Salt Talks shirt.

Well! Congratulations on a safe trip.
 It wouldn't be a true Mexican restaurant without flies.
  We saw some friends off at the SLC airport 40 years ago, and Marriot Corp was running the food (?) place on the 3rd level; Fly population was second only to skeeters in Alaska.
