2013 SCTA Handbook
« on: February 23, 2013, 09:55:03 AM »
Hi all,

New here and new to landracing. I am looking to build a production bike and ordered the SCTA handbook at the start of the month but no sign of it yet. Anyone received theirs yet?.

Regards

Andrew

dont think they are available yet, but if you need a headstart get a 2012 book from the SCTA store and the rule changes for 2013 are on the website. no big changes for production MC classes

I don,t believe it. After having my money for a month they have just refunded my order with no explanation. I,m very disappointed to say the least. I was hoping the rule book would drop through my door anytime now so I could start building my bike, but no luck . Can I get a rule ok any where else.

Anyone got a copy of last years they could let me have please .

Andrew,

I might have something to do with this:

You probably should call the SCTA number listed above and order by phone.

Hope this helps,
Gregg

Did you read the other info? The website was overcharging shipping and they are refunding the overcharge.

Hard to ship something that isn't even printed when you order  You simply paid early, I did it last year as well. No biggie. Take a look at the rulebook revision process. Last seasons events have to end, then the records organized. Then there is a rules change window to submit changes. The the re-writing, the editing, the ad layout. All of this by volunteers DURING THE HOLIDAYS and beginning of a new year. Plus many of these folks have day jobs and race cars/bikes to work on. Then JoAnn, the only one staffing the office has to do the day to day AND process orders. It takes time.

I'll remind folks, 'specially new ones to this Forum, that a the advertisers in the Rule Book are big-time supporters of land speed racing and the SCTA/BNI - and, as such deserve at least looking at their ad before buying whatever product you're wanting -- before buying from some else.  Support those that support your fun.
