Classic Foreign coupes and sedans
« on: February 08, 2013, 12:00:41 PM »
In 2012 Foreign coupes and sedans were added to the Classic category but were limited to the the F engine class.  In 2013 engine classes G, H, I and J were added to the classic category but I don't see any adjustment to the limitation allowing Foreign coupes and sedans to run in any engine class other than "F".
2012 rule
5.C    CLASSIC CATEGORY
This category encompasses American and Foreign coupes and sedans . . . . Foreign coupes and sedans are limited to “F” (123.0 to 183.9 cid, 2.016 to 3.014 L) engine class.
2013 rule change
 5.C    CLASSIC CATEGORY
Add G, H, I & J engine classes to body classes /CBFALT, /CFALT, /CBGALT, /CGALT, /CBGC, /CGC, /CPROD

Question:
Are foreign coupes and sedans allowed in Classic engine classes G, H, I & J?

Good morning DW.   No I haven't seen the new book yet.  Is it out? . . . Anyway, I was comparing the 2012 rules to the rules changes you posted in November.  Can you shed any light on my question?

No, book not out yet - next week, no later than Friday.

The book has the text revised to reflect the change. If a rule proposal is passed it is a bit impossible to change all the 2012 books that are afield.
