sticky?

I was reading a post and someone said it had become sticky. Whats up with that? How do you tell if a post is sticky?

A "Sticky" keeps a thread at the top of the list of topics regardless of when the last posting was.

A lock keeps you from posting in it.

Look at the top of this Website Suggestions forum.

See the two top topics?  One is a year old but is still on top.  See the Pin to the right of the title?  That's the sticky icon.
