That PRS is SLAYING me - Flames, birds and a stop tailpiece - perfect.

As to the Les Paul Custom, I had one about 15 years ago - loved the sound and the sustain, but I only owned it for a week.  It weighed in at 15 lb's (!) and after a night of band practice, I woke up in the middle of the night with a back spasm that sent me to the hospital.

I traded it as soon as I recovered.

The CF looks perfect on that guitar.  Well done, Jonny.

Thanks MM,

15 is REALLY heavy even for a LP. Typically they weight between 7.5 and 10, while never weighed mine I would say it is about 9.
I have always preferred heavier guitars. I must admit the LP is one of my all time faves! I have owned that guitar (from new) in '88.

The PRS is a real jem, I have only have a few hours playing time on it. I do wish its pups were a little hotter but it does everything right....and looks so nice doing it! My playing style is sort of an Eric Johnson/Vai combo; the PRS does great switching from clean/jazz/blues to anything dirty!

Always wanted a PRS. One of my fav college bands had a guy playing one. Search "Janitor Bob and the Armchair Cowboys" These guys ripped for a few years in the 90s

Seriously, this closely mirrors a thought that came to mind in '08 as I scanned both the pits and staging areas in the distance from the short course return road.  Wondered if there was any other relatively same small spot on Earth that held as much brain power and talent from so many backgrounds as was on that corner of the salt at that same time

It's OK as long as hot nuts doesn't sing at the salt talks at the bend.

Well said Ed.
I completely agree with your statement. Can you IMAGINE what it would be like to be stuck on a deserted island with the entire cast of SpeedWeek! (*especially if there was a few wrecked WWII airplanes and a case of dental floss on the island!!!!!)

LOL

Chris, before you tell him that he doesn't need to shower -- would you please make sure he understands the necessity of staying downwind?  Thanks.
