My point is, and as I've experienced, the initial inspection is long and there are a bunch of questions, notations are made in the logbook and stickers issued. subsequent inspections consist of a review of the logbook, questions about any modifications since the last inspection? if yes then further examination proceeds. Expiration dates are checked etc.
they don't crawl under and check my driveshaft loop, scatter shield, fuel line shielding, fire nozzle position and number, axle retainers, and a whole host of items.
In preparation for my first inspection I downloaded the Car inspection sheet from the SCTA Site
http://www.scta-bni.org/pdf/2012%20Car%20Inspection%20Form.pdf and checked them off like and inspector and made notes of where in my manuals and docs that items were documented (axle retainers).
