Speed Dreams on the BBC
« on: January 08, 2013, 10:02:22 AM »
Well folks, you might recall us Brits had a BBC crew in tow with us during Speedweek and the results of their efforts are now being shown, first 1 part last Sunday, next part this coming Sunday.

The bad news is that the BBC content at the moment is only available in the UK, unless you have tunnelbear or the like to mask your IP... but hopefully coming to BBC World or even You Tube soon...

But the 1st show seems to have been very well received and hopefully we'll see more Brits making the journey in coming years (maybe NOT a good thing ;-)  )

Just as a really mean teaser as most of you can't watch the main event, the trailers are on You-Tube here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob7fr_EK-N4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCHj4dmgvBQ

(Ms Hammond (?) could probably open a fan club in the UK after that brief appearance)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzZapZOnEXQ

And remember... it's the Beeb... so all a bit dramatic...

For those of you who want to see episode 1 and can pretend to be UK based IP-wise:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search?q=speed%20dreams

This episode deals with heading to Bonneville and arrival on the Salt... this Sunday we'll see what happened during Speedweek...

Fingers crossed they are kind to us...!

Cheers

Ms. Hammond?  I saw Louise, for sure, and one other lady (sitting in a car like she's about to run) - but she doesn't look like Tannis - - and I don't think I remember Tegan (Hammond, Seth and Tannis' daughter) looking like that, either.  Maybe I'm watching the wrong teasers.

And yes, someone -- please remind me/us right here how to get the IP address masker thing working so we can see the whole show.  Thanks.

The expat program downloaded OK.  There were all sorts of warnings about the trustworthiness, etc of site when I tried to play the episode.  Is it safe to look at it?
