Hi, wondering if anyone knows the highest speed a motorcycle has achieved in any Production-Production class.

FIM does not have a strictly production class.  The record setting production bikes show us the things we do not need to change to go fast.  In that way, they are most amazing.

Hi again.  A more specific question?  What is the fastest speed to date on salt in the PP 1650 class?

I know there is no unified class decree across the different organisations , but I'm interested to know?  I'm asking this because I've been asked to answer the question.  Regards, and a prosperous and safe racing new-year to all.

1650 PP, the fastest speed to date if i recall, (correct me if im wrong,) was run by a gen2 Busa somewhere in the 211-214 range, :? :?,, there have been a few BMW 1000's run speeds pretty close to that also,,,

however, you have the fastest recorded record (1650 PP) at 208 something,

Greg, without your willingness to share info, experience, and knowledge, we wouldn't have run so well.  I’m moved by your decency and humility, you are a true Champion.

According to the 200 MPH Club mailing I got last week, Fred Vance set the record at 209.526 back in '09 on his 'Busa.  Jack Broomall's 205+ was on a 1650 ZX14. I see that the '13 records aren't in the list, and - stranger than that -- there's no "PP" record shown in 1000cc.  I sure thought it'd been pushed up past 200 last August.

I thought that was a big inch Busa....  :? I know the book shows Kawi, maybe Larry will chime in here and straighten me out

I thought you couldn't have a Busa in 1650 PP because the OEM engine's not big enough?

Jack Broomall was indeed riding a ZX14.
