Front fender exhaust ports
« on: November 20, 2012, 04:17:35 PM »
I've been thinking about running the exhaust on my 351W-powered 300zx (C/GC) out of circular side ports (flush to the body) that would be located behind the wheel well and in front of the door on each side. Has anyone here done that? I'm pretty sure I've seen photos of LSR cars set up that way--any pros or cons?

You'll have people who swear the air disruption from the side ports will
either make the car less aero or make it unstable. We run 1 side exhaust
(6.5") from a turbo, and I feel that while not ideal, the power gained and
ease of install made up for what is probably a small aero disadvantage.
