Lets take a moment to salute a member

 NOTE: I purposly listed this under Health and Welfare ........
  I just noticed that Today is Jack Dolan's 66th birthday (which happens to be two weeks after my own 66th as if anyone gives a rats patootie).
  Those of us who have ever met, known or dealt with Jack undoubtedly have many memories of Jack's years of involvment with LSR and helping to make or modify many rules.
  Many racers, SCTA members and "ruler's" along with users and viewers of this site have felt or seen Jack's intellegence, thoughtfullness, humor and or wrath as he was born with (I believe) a Stainless Steel Backbone and has demonstrated time after time, year after year, that he fear's no one or any organization if he feels or has felt they are or were wrong.
  As many of you know, Jack was for years a prodiguous contributor to this site but chose to quit posting a few years back for reasons of his own.
  Jack has been in poor health the last few years but I hope that those who have known him will put aside any animosities or past grudges and wish Jack (a phone call might be nice) a happy and healthy 67th year on this Earth.                                                                                                           Bob Drury

I miss Jack's wise and wise a** posts. He tended to make a guy really think sometimes.

Yeh, what they said.  Still, we have your archived commentary here, and it remains (arguably) valid, since it was always good for starting arguments.  If you read this, Jack, I'd like to ship a pocket audio recording device to Sandy Eggo, if you feel like putting down some oral history for the Wendover museum.

Happy Birthday, Jack.  I think I'll dig around in the lr.com archives and try to find a photo that I took at the NW Reunion a few years ago.  It's the only picture I've got that shows you, and if I find it and post it -- then folks that don't know you will have a face to match with the name and words of wisdom :?.
