With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

To a very minor extent, the election is LSR related.

Many areas LSR is ran is on Federal Land.  The Federal Government is the largest recreational land owner in the US by a wide margin.

One party cut back the recreational land by about 1/2.

Voting for those who believe all recreational activities should be approved by Wash DC is very short sighted.

Remember how it USED to be?  I don't think today is real improvement.

I believe the States should control how their land is used, not the Feds.  In my state (CA), we pay hundreds a year for Recreational Taxes, but it's Washington that dictates how we use our state land.

I hear a lot of talk on how the BLM has helped us.  Be aware, they can shut down access today, and there is nothing you can do about it.  There is a huge push on to stop motorized vehicles from using BLM land.  Your state doesn't have the "pull" to stop them.  New York has just as much say how we use our Western Recreational Land as does our own state.

The BLM is perhaps your "buddy" today, but in the long run, they are the enemy.

It's no longer tomorrow, but now is today.  And this morning on the way to work, both Nancy and I voted our choices.  We even went far enough to read the 6 statewide proposals and analyse - together, in conversation - how we wanted them to turn out.

I was vote #92, at about 9.15AM.  That tells me that turnout was pretty good since our townsp has 978 residents.

We don't listen to much commercial radio and don't watch TV, so we weren't pestered with the commercials.  And our only telephones are cellphones - which the various candidates and their "robocallers" don't call.

Well, Joline & I just finished voting. Anyone who didn't vote has lost the priviledge of bitching for the next four years.

Jon - Be cautious who you give your cell number to.  In the AV business, I deal with politically active customers on both sides of the fence.  Business cards get passed, telephone numbers get entered into databases, and as a result, I've been bombarded from all sides on all phones.

And yelling at a robocall is as pointless as trying to talk sense into the Propster.

Actually, the problem with dead voters is in California now.  Thousands of them.  If they do it by mail in ballot, do they go to the dead letter office?  Can they vote for live candidates?  Seems we need another Proposition to deal the dead voters, so the courts can Kill it.  Is it wrong to discriminate against our "living-impaired" citizens?

Sounds like you think as much of your choices as we do here in Aussie

voting is compulsory so we either vote out the worst option or donkey vote a minor party in protest

politics seems more and more becoming a personality contest among squabbling children
