STOLEN CAR AND TRAILER IN TN

Friend car and trailer were stolen from home yesterday while he was at work.  It is a 28ft white enclosed trailer (I am not sure on brand or any details at this time).  The car inside the trailer is a flat black '67 Chevy II tube chassis car with fiberglass body.  It has weld magnums on it with beadlocks on the rear.  It's not a LSR car but this guy is a true racer and has made this car his world.  He has been toMaxton a few times to watch.  He had the motor out freshening it up luckily but all of his spares and the car were inside the trailer.  I-75 is only 4-5miles away and would be around the 128mile marker North of Knoxville. Anyone in the area please keep your eyes open.

That sucks,, there is s special area in Hell for the jerks that would steal a mans race car.

Tell your friend to never give up finding his car.... A buddy of mine in Denver had 2 race cars in a trailer stolen 20 or so years ago, they resurfaced in Denver last year, a couple of years after he moved to Santa Fe... they are being returned to him and the cops are tracing how the new "owners" acquired the cars.

We'll keep our eyes out in Nashville... Can you post any stickers on the trailer that would be identifying?  And the plate number on the trailer?

No tag on the trailer.  It is a Waco brand.  They don't think it made it too far outside of town becaus ethe tires were in really bad shape but who knows.  The car is a '66 and did not have the doors on it.  There was also a one piece '69 Camaro frontend from another friend car being stored in the trailer. 

They have a lead but not sure if its accurate.

Found the car and trailer minus some tools and a 16v battery charger.  It was left on the side of the road about 20 miles from where it was stolen from with a flat tire on the trailer.  Not sure on the details but he has his baby back non the less.

We had a 28 foot tag trailer stolen from work last year. The local police said a lot of trailers were being stolen to make mobile meth labs. Both of mine at home have double locks on them.

Sorry it happened and glad he got it back.  Maybe that's why I have an open trailer - makes a crummy meth lab!  And I can't afford more right now.

My imagination tells me how to mount a pointed rod in a sleeve that bolts to the top of the trailer fender well.  The rod is dropped so the pointy end is on top of the tire and the rod is locked in place.  The top of the rod and locking mechanism is inside the trailer and out of view.  The criminal type would not get very far before the tire was sliced up by the rod.  The owner must remember to retract the rod before towing the trailer.  Just an idea.
