Car 667 Rolled at World of Speed
« on: September 09, 2012, 10:25:09 PM »
Car 667 rolled on Sunday afternoon. Driver is okay, no life threatening injuries. She lost consciousness but is doing better. She will be getting x-rays and more testing done. She will be in the hospital at least until tomorrow if not maybe a couple more days. Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts.

Dan Wright left a message for us -- and it sounds like Clay got the same information as Dan gave us.  For sure Kris will be in the hospital tonight and maybe longer.  While no life-threatening injuries, she's beat up pretty much.  At the dinner table we heard this story and that story -- but you folks out there in landracing.com-land should understand that I won't put out information about a crash or injury until I've received permission from someone like, in this case, the spouse of the injured party.  I would hope that you folks would also be understanding in such cases - because it's only "rumors" 'til you hear it from someone that not only has the correct information but also can elect to keep it close to the family for the moment.

Kris is going to be okay once the bumps and bruises heal.

Good to hear that she will be ok.

Here is a shot of the car at the 2009 WOS, for those not familiar with the car.
Not sure if the paint scheme has changed since then.

My wife Heidi posted the information.  She works close with Dan on the USFRA website and got the phone call from him last night.  Dan asked her to post the information on the USFRA website and she put it on here through my log in.

Thank's Clay...............  What we do need is current imformation, what we don't need is speculation on who the driver might be or their condition. (and that is a arrow pointed at a frequent poster on this site................).          Bob

Wow seven days in the hospital. More than bumps and bruises.
Best luck on recovery.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.
