WTB - Roadster or Modified Roadster - Rolling
« on: September 07, 2012, 06:17:48 PM »
My dad and I are looking for a car to run either B/BFR or B/BFMR.  We have essentially everything minus the chassis and need a nearly bare rolling car.  In a roadster, I would prefer a '34, but would certainly consider anything.  We do not want to have a new car built.  I think getting a car that has been through tech and has proven to run straight is the best way to go.  Our next step would be to run AA/BF, so I need a car that is capable of handling that kind of speed and power.  It seems really hard to find LSR cars for sale.  I guess once you start with these cars, you never sell them.  I appreciate any leads that could be sent my way.

thanks,
Bryan Brown

I thought you would never sell that car Mikey with it's history and ties to your Grandpa. I would love to see you bring it back out again. One of the best looking cars ever to grace the salt.......

Franey,

I think we might have pitted beside you at the '11 Loring Maine Event.  I'm just a sometimes go fer and tow/support vehicle driver with the 260 rmr, life stuff has had me pretty much "out of the loop" regarding making many speed safari's the last couple - three seasons.  I do know the car is listed in the latest Bonneville Racing News [issue #165] with a new reduced price.  Listed contact info says call Ed Brace [the owner] at 413-253-2022 or cell: 413-695-1901.  He lives in and runs the car out of Western Mass.

Hope this helps anyone that might be interested.

Thanks for the replies.  We're pretty well set on a front engine car.  Mr. Cook, you're car is beautiful, but it's a little more than what I'm looking to spend.  I'm trying to keep it under $40k for the roller
