Rick,
What material is the shaft?
What is the trans coupler?
Where are you measuring the 8"?

8 inch is overall length.
I'm guessing the shaft is 4130 which is their base alloy, but I didn't originally purchase the parts.
Trans is Jerico 4 spd clutchless and I think is 32 spline.  I will go out to the shop and count.  First I need to cut the grass which will keep the little red haired girl happy.  Later today.

My front one is 13" but it might fit the rear. I'll be putting the B&J back in to check length while you're on the grass.

The trans coupler is 32 spline, but about .010" smaller diameter than the shaft and other parts which of course makes the splines a little finer.  When I replaced the coupler, I ended up with a real bastard flange for u joint and 2 piece shaft.  Kinda like a 4WD front shaft.
Hope this helps
