The broadcast was terrific. There were a few glitches, but all in all it was almost like being there.

Caveat to the spreadsheet. I reformatted the data that was posted here. I can't vouch for anything in the spreadsheet.

If there is missing data or . . . don't call me.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Glen, I don't have an answer for that, had to get a package to town before closing time, missing the awards banquet, but I since don't actually race, just collect dust out on the salt pan, they don't need me there.

Dean, thanks much.  It's tough to operate in a rolling office and your fine clean up the uploaded info is a service to us all.

I dropped Slim's box of audio equipt off in Wendover, am heading for S. Utah.  That's it for today.

It has been an interesting experience.  If you run the archived last day's broadcast all the way to the very end of the music, a few of our friends from Denmark and Germany did the sign-off in front of the Salt Flats Cafe.

Just in case there are still folks looking at this link -- I'll reassure them (and you) that I'll be doing the aucio streaming at BOTH World of Speed and the Shootout.  Yes, I'm confident that there'll be both events - so don't go away and do something goofy like spending your days at work or mowing the lawn or such.

I'm hoping to have further information on the Shootout tomorrow by lunchtime, so stay tuned.  I'll probably put it both here and on the Shootout thread.  It'll provide some information on why I think the Shootout WILL be worth the time it'll take you to pay some attention.  And -- it'll be well worth the time for the teams that elect to run, too.

C U tomorrow.  PS  Thanks more than ever, Max.  I am pretty sure we've never had so many folks letting us know, in real time, that they were enjoying the stuff on landracing.com (or, in this case, via Meridix).

My goodness - the stats posted as they came in.   :-o

That's a model we need to look at for Speedweek.

Outstanding work, Max!

I'm halfway across Kansas and bored.  So bored I pulled into a reswt stop, worked the kinks out of my spine, then opened the last archived BUB day, ran the fast forward up to 569:30 to see how the final sign off went with the help of some Danes and a German who brought over a couple of S&S KN powered bikes for the vintage class  who were at the Salt Flats Cafe.  That segment is preceeded by driving off the salt to the music of Dr. Goggle "HQ Rear Window" CD, including -Ted the Old Biker-, and Milwaukee Midget's Honky Tonkitis "Alcohol and Heartbreak" CD.

"...I'm halfway across Kansas and bored."  You made it that far?  I've been bored within minutes of getting into that state.

Thanks again, Max.  I'm sitting in the basement of Kudos making dash plaques for a local car show next week.  You wanna be bored?  I should be with Nancy, at the Marquette Area Blues Fest, in the lower harbor park.  My wonderful lady, perfect temps, good music -- and here I sit, listening to the hum of the engraving laser.  What'd I do wrong?  Maybe I should chuck it and go drive across Kansas.
