Thank YOU for listening, Tman.

I'll leave extra stuff to borrow and use up to Jon, who will read this thread after sweating through whatever project he's on at Laser Engraving.

Yes, the volunteer gets MM's cell #, which I use to send out distress flares from the flats, take pictures for his consideration, and whine about my lame attitude until he tells me he's an audio tech, not a therapist.

I'm watching Terry Prince wrenching on his 1951 Vincent sidecar rig ridden by Bones, who was out at the Shootout last year.  Terry's hair is as unruly as mine.  I'm in good company.

As Max's MC-liner is very complex in it's build he can't afford to take any chances. Hope he can make the shoot out or one of the other meets for more testing and a few good runs. Maybe Stainless will give us a update on what happened on the last run.

Sorry to hear that. I was hoping this was Max's year.

Impound is VERY  busy, like the announcer said.  Lots of talking all over the place.  I hope the radio and race bikes on the course trumph the chatter of pedestrians, car doors slamming, etc.

The only back ground noise is the MC's running, none of the other chatter is being picked up, still great live coverage.

Any update on the rider that went down yesterday, if I missed it please disregard.  Thanks

 Mike

We elected to spectate on Wed, and happened to park next to the Edwards Racing team from Denver.
Met them last year;  really great bunch.
We were told one of their riders had gone down at around 160.

Treat this as "hearsay" since it's now 3rd hand, OK? Surgery for broken scapula; broken ribs; possible punctured lung.

Wish there was better news.

Had heard no updates when we broke camp about 17:30 MDT.

Jim

Yes, BIG thanks to Betty Burkland for her work out here this week.  ESPECIALLY for running my memory stick out to Jame Rice at the timing trailer every morning.  My feet are stapled to the salt right here, so without her gracious help, we might not have those results posted in such a timely manner.  And, 263 mph, plus a red hat.  She is quite a lade.

I forget, is that after the thaw and BEFORE Construction season or the week before it freezes up again!? :-D

I can say that, the 14 months I lived there was a great 3 years.
