Is that better?  I hooked up my extra computer with headphones, seems clear at the moment.

I think they changed announcers to give each other breaks

Just took some pictures of Drew and his son Clayton in scrutineering.  Clayton is riding an XLCR Sportster, dear to my heart as I bought one new back in the day.

It appears Moxnix left his new camera home.  Therefore I am taking snapshots with an old camera, so old I can only upload pix on my office computer back in Webster Groves, something that will happen when I drag my aging carcass back home.

Glen, we're picking up, in theory, the sounds of bikes passing the timing tower with the omni mic.  But, as we are at impuond, too, we get some big motor noises and background conversations from there.

Jeff's bike is 30 feet away in impound.  Do you want me to relay something?

Thanks, summer heat, I was supposed to post that hot link early today.

They changed announcers to a " close talker" and the volume is down now, thanks for the help.

I thought about it - but never got around to suggesting that a cardioid pattern microphone seems better able to naturally provide the desired ambiance than does an omnidirectional one.  For those of you that haven't got enough time in the audio biz, a cardioid pattern picks up what's in front of the mic, and an omni gets everything, in every direction.  Leave out the background (in this case, literally) and get more of the sound from up in front.  Maybe I should find one such, hey Max?

Jon, I have one with me, will leave it with the kit to pick up from Mike.  I'm too lazy to upgrade today, sneaking off to take snapshots.

Bo is in tech.  Wobblywalrus to me & you on here.  His Triumph is an absolute triumph of hard work and flexibility in thought.

It's always a delight to have Betty Burkland stop by and chat.  The other day at Smith's gas pumps, we talked about Marvin Rifchen of M&H tires.  Today about racers.

Al Lamb is fastest right now at 231.970.

We have no photographer here, I take snapshots to upload when I get home.  Ray is thrashing on his car in SLC for WoS, and if anyone has a friend who out here who would like to post, it's okay with me.  Lots of photographers, but I only know Scooter Grubb who may be posting on Facebook BUB 2012 page.

I'd let him post them himself.  After 12 hours in the audio vehicle, or wandering around on my 10 foot headset leash, I'm beat.  To tired to do anything but party at the lowest dive in town, pass out in a corner, wake up and let myself out through the emergency exit and run from the alarm to do another hot day on the hottest hot spot in motorcycledom here at BUB.
