Glen, they switch announcers and each holds the mic differently.  I' ve suggested they go to a headset mic with a foam cover, to keep the audio more consistant.

It's their same mic, nothing done to it.

There is no wind now.

I'll call you this morning, Glen.

Okay, bad connection on my tuner, how is it now?

Thank you all very much.  If you don't tip me off, I can't tweak or fix it.

Actually, Max, I think the mic sounds fine, but I'm questioning your feed from the broadcast.  Are you just micking up the radio in the cab?  It has that phase shifted sound.

Aaah - ya fixtit!

MM, I'm reducing my gas bill by running off BUB's giant quiet generator with my heavy duty 50 foot cord, thank them very much.  So we got game from all the bits and pieces and the mixer works by rubbing two sticks together.

I've been reluctant to suggest it because I question the reliability of them in the salt environment, but I'm thinking this might be the next logical step in the analog chain -

Analog digital conversion in the box - USB straight out to the computer.  I'm not fond of the preamps - I think they lack gain, but if it could be kept out of the sun/rain/dust, it sure would eliminate some cabling.

Just my meat!  Cobbling pawn shop odd bits into the kit, poking through Craigslist for a tweaker's redundant goods.

Max, maybe you should stop by Fryes electronics in Las Vegas and stock up on every thing you need.

Glen, I haven't taken enough out of my secret location double credits slots at the Noogett yet.  When I checked in, wandered into the casino, asked a floor manager where particular type of machine was, fed it a $20, it paid out $328 and I left.  When I checked out, went back to the same machine, stuffed another $20 in, payout was $240.  I'll draw maps to it for 20% of winnings.

My retirement from the audio slot starts after World Finals, with the exception of coming back here.  Next year I'd like to either have a bike to run or wander around and tug on people's coats for a chin wag and snapshots.

Notice:  Anyone who wants to help Jon with the audio next year, volunteers at each meet in 2013 will prolly be welcomes.  Resume not required, and my crazy hair has not kept me out of the position.

If I'm not there next year, I could probably be convinced to lend you my Sound Devices Mix Pre-D field mixer for a reasonable return in t-shirts, swag, etc.. It has USB out and this is what it is designed for.

Operator support is also provided.
