Ray, love that pic of the two bikes going through the salt water.  I am back in the hotel doing a card download and to get out of peak sun.  Blowfish had some issues on first run and got way sideways.  Pics to follow in about 30 minutes.  Probably going to create a new gallery as I would have to upload all the prior photos again and internet is slow here.  Racing began around 11:30AM or so local.  Another glorious weather day, temp was 86*F on my ride back to hotel.

Ok.  More photos.  I shot these right after the drivers meeting.

Nebulous Theorem IX is a rear-engined modified roadster;

I don't remember much about this bike from last year, except that I really liked the idea of using old racing t-shirts for upholstery.

And Mark Mariani invited me to take a look at their new E/SR car...really kool, really trick stuff.

Then I went to see the drooling session around the Target 550 liner.  Wow!  That's up next.

While on the way from the starting line to the SDRC pits where the Treit & Davenport liner is being displayed, I noticed that "Floating Island" (I think that's what we decided it's called) really IS floating...or maybe I just got the photo upside-down.   :-D

Ohh..did I mention that my Canon 7D and my 28-135 lens have both crapped out?  We're in fall-back mode with the 40D (and no battery pack) and other lenses...but nothing in the 50-100mm range.  Some days just go better than others.

Anyway, when I got to the three "pagoda"-like tents covering the streamliner, I found Harlan Fagan (designer of the new T-550 t-shirts) photographing....

...Hume's grapes on the nose of the liner.  Fastest grapes on the planet...well, that's the plan, anyway.

Finally, a low-angle shot of the liner in its carrier with just a few people around it.  It got much more crowded...and still is as I write this.

Everyone who's followed the Treit and Davenport streamliner project (http://www.target550.com/index.html) has seen the 1/10th scale model at the top of most pages.  It had a bit of a refurbishing when the new canopy and windshield were completed...and it's on display, too.  Here are some photos.

I have NO eyewitness info, but Nancy went down near the starting line about 2 hours ago and may have a broken bone.  Jon brought to bike back to the pits and headed there.  Stay tuned, we'll post updates when more is known.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Were all thinking of you Nancy and hope its not too bad

Is there a entrant list available anywhere, many of the numbers do not mean much unless the announcer gives a lot of detail
