Here's my last post of the day.  Gotta get up early and park by the #2 course start line so I can give you as much Pork Pie information as I can.  He needs a 200.6, I think he said, to not only get his "A" license - but also a red hat.  Is he stoked?  You betchurass he is!

Since Ray left early I took a few photos today, just for some "color".

Here's how BeerBelly Kelly dries his leathers:

A pair of shots at the Hudson Boys pit:

Didja ever wonder what Max does while the internet audio setup is working just fine?

Here's Nancy and her bike.  Last night we went to the 200 MPH Club banquet and noticed a familiar bike in the back of a pickup.  Scot Horner, of HeadsUp Performance in Sandy (south suburban SLC, sorta) was taking it back to his shop for new bodywork before WoS.  I'll ride it then -- Nancy won't be ready, she figures.  Anyway, I took this photo of her and the bike.  You can see the damage -- right arm in a sling and broken bodywork on the right lower of the front of the bike.  You can also notice the sorta upset look on Nancy's face as she relives the crash as she sees the broken bike:

And finally - Ian Mann, the Poteet & Main IT guy and MoTeC guru, sent this to me.  Since most of us will never see a timing slip like this (at least in our personal collection) - well, enjoy it for George Poteet and his entire team's sake:

Good night, ladies and gentlemen.  I'll be back with you in a handful of hours.  Return runs start at about 7.15 MDT, and the qualifying runs when record runs are done -- likely about 8AM.  Qualifying runs 'til noon, and then there'll be return runs until they're done -- most likely by 1PM.  And then -- SpeedWeek 2012 will be history.

Howdy, howdy, howdy, ladies and gentlemen.  It's Friday morning of SpeedWeek 2012 -- the last day of racing.  We'll have return runs from yesterday's qualifiers - starting at 7 or 7.15 or so, followed by qualifying 'til about noon, and then return runs for those that manage to qualify this morning.  The midday return runs will start about an hour after qualifying ends - giving the folks that got into impound a bit of time to catch up and get ready for the one last run.

Record runs will be on courses #1 and 2 this morning, on the same course and in the same relative mile that you qualified in yesterday.  At the end of qualifying course #2 will be closed, and any return runs this afternoon will be on #1.

ERC fuel truck will close about 10.30 this morning.

It looks like about three dozen qualifiers from yesterday this morning, with a few more on the #2 course than on one.  All the vehicles are now in staging lines.  For your information, it looks like Pork Pie in the #1000 car is about 5th or so on the #2 course.

#1   Car 920 Contrivance Racing, driven by Ro Yale, is first off the line.  First mile 223  1/4 257   268.938  mile three 289 middle mile  fifth mile 297.384

#2  B591  Larry Cason on short course run  He's away from the line  third mile 170.139  backs up record

#1   B1101 John LeVie  175 cc Scott Guthrie Racing team  77.150 yesterday  first mile  77.560  go to impound.

#1  10  Team McLeish  record in class is 62 mph  62.436 in second mile  almost to a stop in front of timing stand.

#2 9931 The Hudson Boys J/GALT  146.950 record  146.150 in the 1/4,  150.783 in the mile

#1 Small bike moseying off the line -- will give data when I get it.  B1803  GoldWing Lyon bike.  2 mile 97.924  coasting by the announce stand.

#1  8269   213.782 in the last mile

#2   571  2 mile 71.817
