Hey Deb,

Glad to see you are still keeping up with happenings on the speed scene.  8-)

Bet you can relate to Nancy's pains. As I recall you went through something similar a few years back.

Regards and Wishing the best to you and yours,

I'm outta here...or there as the case may be.  I've had 1 camera and 2 lenses fail on me last nite/this morning and that's about all the fun I can stand.

So I'll be home in a few hours and I'll post some stuff when I get there.

In the mean time, y'all have fun, go fast and be safe.

Debbie, I'm remembering the days of webcasting from here with your help on soundchecks and advising us when it quit.  Thanks for all that.  We've improved the equipment and monitor our output with a second computer, but, still, we learned a lot . . . See you at the ECTA opener in 2013.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Ray & SSS, can't tell you how much I appreciate all the work you put into keeping us up with the images and the narrative. I know how much effort it takes and make no mistake there are MANY of us who are in your debt. Thanks again and I hope to see you at BUB in about a week.

Nancy and i are in the pickup and have kinda packed up the trailer for tomorrow's departure.  In the meantime -- we'll head down to the five mile or so and watch a few vehicles zoom past.  Then there's also setting up for the volunteer worker's picnic tonight at the Wendover Community Center.  Maybe the radio will give us some information and iuf so - we'll pass that on to you, too.

Slim,

Thanks for all the coverage and the site. Please relay to Nancy to take care and as boring as it might become to let the busted wing heal properly. Healing and then some sensible therapy will have her back on track but it will take some time and patience.

Also, thanks to Ray The Rat for his on the salt pics and coverage. :-D

Y'all have a safe trip home.

Regards to All,
HB2 :-)

We're back at the motel for a break from the heat for Nancy.  I'll head out to the salt for a while in an hour or so since Ray has gone home and you don't have anyone actively giving information.  Hang tight and listen to Max's broadcast audio for a little while, please.

The 9900 lakester is about to run -- taking Neil Thompson (?), a passed Gear Grinder, for his final ride on the salt.  Rest in peace - and what a fine way to go.

Pulled the chute at the five - May he rest in peace.

Here's some info on Neil: http://www.landracing.com/forum/index.php/topic,11248.0.html

Thanks Nick. Neil deserved the best and he received it from you.

Thanks for doing a tribute to a man that I sincerely respected and enjoyed knowing for over 40 years.
