Sound compliments of the dandy mic donated by M. Midget.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

More starting line photos.

The Medlin & Linsmeyer Turbine liner sounded just like a turbine.  :)  It wasn't extra mind-boggling off the line, but it got away to a good start.  I don't know how fast it went.  It was in impound yesterday after breaking the old record of 227 and change.

"The Hard Way" roadster gets a good launch.  I like this car.  Maybe it's the 311 cubic inch Jimmy motor in it.  Inliners is kool.

Then there are a coupla shots of the Maro Special liner and I agree with SSS, it sounded and looked great going by.  Bobby Moore popped the chute and on the radio Glen said it was "all over the place" and turned out to the right...the emergency side.  Haven't heard any more since.

I'm at Impound.  I'll do some shots here, then cruise thru the pits.

Btw, if you enjoyed the "puzzle" photos, I'll do a few more.  But nobody's identified the "Gone to the dark side" photo yet.

Wouldn't be the first time but he usually goes for one that ain't there and on a Liberty 6th is spelled with an N in the front.

Way to go Willie Boelcke!  I met you back in 1990 or 91 when you were running that dark green Super Bee.  245mph, that's 100 mph faster than the 440-6 Bee!

I'm at the #1 and #2 start lines for a while, over near the #2 course.  First time I've been here (other than when Nancy was in line) and it's a nice place to hang out.  Not that there's a bad place at Bonneville, but -- you know.

#1369 just pushed off on course 2.  1/4  203.713,  first mile 209.634  middle mile  219.896  last mile  224.923

exit 226.515   Nice run
