Scene at Jon & Nancy's pits:  Slim sitting in the cab of his truck typing.  Me in a lawn chair at the Rolling Neverwuzzer mobile audio cage.  Quiet.  I interrupted him to ask if a plastic spoon might be in the trailer.  No, but what's that in your hand?  Greek yogurt, says me.  Eye roll, but no comments on it, like yesterday when I was chugging blueberry flavored Kefir (Russian sour milk).

All seriousness aside, it's a fine day--

Greek Yogurt and Kefir are probably much more common in Webster Groves than they are in Wendover. :-D

Thanks again for all the hard work, guys (and gals)

Photos from Record Returns:

Don Biglow gives a thumbs up as the safety gear in the AA/FL is checked...

...and he's off and running.  As SSS noted, probably not enough for a record.

The "big red Chock Full of Nuts pickup" driven by Jim Webb,

Mark Seeley on the "Pflugerville Special".

More coming up

Yesterday a couple of guys who shall remain nameless were here at the trailer, conversating until the wind kicked up and stuff started flying.  As we headed off in different directions, I said, "Bonneville is one long conversation continually interrupted by racing."

I knew a German woman who got pregnant from yogurt.  She should have said "No, Kurt."

Thank you, thank you very much.  I'm appearing here all week . . .

Slim, Ray and Moxnix, Thanks for the great coverage, you guys are doing a great job.   I heard them call the 1448 bike for a return run this morning but didn't hear if he got the record, did anybody catch the number? Thanks

Any info on the 616 CMMP?  Heard they put it on the trailer. Any word on what happened?

George Gallimore's "Buckwheat Racing" Firebird...in the staging lane.  On the right of the photo is...

...this lovely lady, Tracie Carroll.  She was kind enough to remove her sun protection for a photo.  :)

George leaves the line...

...and heads down course, probably not fast enough to bump his own record of 258.876.

Speed Demon, Motor 2, Take 2.

After blowing the first of 2 C Class motors in his first run, George Poteet qualified at 427 mph yesterday on the smaller D motor.  Safety gear is being checked.

The canopy is fastened...

...and his launch looked real good.

He was going well at the 1 mile...and then shut down an turned out.  I don't know why.
