Nancy needs a helmet
« on: August 06, 2012, 02:42:26 PM »
We're on the way south from Idaho - towards SLC and then Wendover.  And I've just remembered (who's been distracted) that we need a helmet for Nancy to wear during her runs this coming week.  If you have a MEDIUM helmet that'll protect her noggins and get through tech inspection - and that you're willing to sell or even lend to her/us -- we'd be very thankful and maybe even buy you a hamburger at Salt Talks.  How's that for an offer?

No graphics requirements, just medium (assuming that said size is right, but that's what her last few have been).  Thank you very much.

That would be great!  I figured it wouldn't be too hard to rustle one up but knowing one is on the way is even better.
PS  If any one else has one that's for sure legal- be in touch
Let me know
Nancy

Hi Slim and Nancy, I am working the event so not racing at all. I will bring my helmet for Nancy. I arrive Friday afternoon and you can use it for the week. I do need to ck and make sure it is medium, not small but will bring it along. Safe travels!

Slim.

I would bring one of mine but all of my brain buckets are XL... I would be honored if one of my helmets went really fast.

I am sure you will find one.

Thanks to all of you that have sent PMs or emails or Facebook notes or posted here.  Until we have one in hand I won't say the search is over -- but it's looking good.  We do have some time tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for a bit of shopping, too, so thank you for the reminder, Glen.

We leave here sometime after lunch to head west to Bendover.  See you on the salt.

Jeff, remember that a bike rider needs an M- helmet, not the SA or whatever car folks wear.  Thanks - and maybe it'll work for us.

If you are shopping in Salt Lake, you might try Wrights @ 3474 south State Street, west side of the street in the same lot as Harbor Freight.

Jim - so far yours sounds best.  Nancy tried on my helmet - and even though it says it's an XL, it fit pretty well.  Well enough to pass the "roll off the wearer's head" test.  She normally has worn medium, but those are snug enough that a L would be just dandy.  Whatever -- let's talk more seriously about the Bell.  If you want to talk price -- send me a PM.  No sense making everyone here be present when you offer it for $XXX.  I'm just like that -- like to keep some stuff close.

We're staying at the Quality Inn in Wendfover, Utah.  I don't have a street address.  If we do decide to have you send it -- I'd suggest sending it to Mike Crawford's CarQuest store in Wendover.  That address is easy to find online.  I used to have it memorised, but now -- nope.  I can get it for you.

Later, folks.

Jon/Nancy...I am trying to make it out there for 1 or 2 days leaving Thursday evening, I will bring gear and my new helmet is Nancy's size.

You should have my number if it's still needed.
