We had the motorcycle tech inspectors briefing at 11:30. This was the biggest and best crew I ever had at a meet. We started inspections at noon and by 4:00 we had 50 bikes complete. I want to thank everyone that participated in tech today. If I missed anyone I apologize; Frank John, Greg Neal, Brenda Sue Carver, Jennifer Robertson, Lloyd Frink, Fred Vance, Tom Bouchard, Phil Campbell. Super attention to detail. We have some big iron for this event. I will get some photos tomorrow.

Charles Veneble(sp), ran a 205 today, yay way to go Charles!! Colt Bateman, on Karls bike ran a 230 foot shifting, Brenda Sue ran 212 with shift light issues, and I ran a whopping 169 with shifter issues. Looking for a little better tomorrow. :-P

Bill,

The 205 for Charles was for the 1 1/2, not the mile.I talked with him after the run yesterday about the mile time and he said they did not get that but he felt it was around 195.
Dave Matty (not even going to try and spell his last name...LOL) drove the Stude this morning on a license pass and went 155. Later this afternoon, he put the pedal to the metal and also went 205 in the 1 1/2.

I just posted some pics, in my other thread, from today and the 1st four are Dave on his 205 run this afternoon.

BIG CONGRATS to both Charles and Dave.

Gregg

As of last night Steve V in his blown Roadster had top speed of the meet for cars at just over 211211   I was second at 205.9 and Dave Matyjasik third in my car ar 205.4.  Steve tried another pass but blazed the tires. Pedaled it got back in it and popped the blower ..oh well.. We we set my car up for 213 to beat Steve but the crossing head wind held it to another 205..all good however..MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Congrats to all who ran and set records, especially over 200.
It was the first time that I had run at Loring and I was impressed by the facillity
and the management. I broke the transmission in the Corvette on Saturday morning,
so my best run was was my qualifying run at 180+.
I felt comfortable that the car could run 200, but that will have to wait till speed week to find out.

Great meet ... Tom Cronan turned in a 260 mph speed on Eric Paquette's DAS Performance air cooled 1991 Suzuki.  This guy can ride a motorcycle.
