Tech at El Mirage at July race
« on: July 09, 2012, 10:41:28 AM »
I was wondering if it would be possible, feasible, or worthwhile to bring my car out to El Mirage on Sunday, and have some tech people (or otherwise knowledgable folk) look it over and tell me what changes I might need to make, as well as answer any questions about any modifications I would like to make?

Am I just going to get in the way of the race, or is this a common practice?

The car passed Bonneville tech in 2010, and holds a record.

I'm new to LSR, but I am a drag racer.  I cannot make it out on Saturday, but I can make it on Sunday, so I will miss the rookie orientation.

Thanks,

Jeff

Bring it out earlier in the morning and talk with an automotive inspector and tell them you are looking to make sure the vehicle is 100% compliant and also bring your complete safety gear as well.

It would also be a nice courtesy to send an Email to the Chief car Inspector saying that you are doing just that. Break the ice, so to speak, and give him a chance to round up an Inspector or two to help you and answer questions...
