For those of you who may want to come east after the Maine Event, the 2nd round of Canadian Superbike Championship will be held at Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia (I noticed that Google Maps can't find Shubenacadie, so just key in Stewiacke, N.S. instead) the following weekend. It is about a seven hour drive from Loring to Shubie. If you have never seen a live superbike roadrace, this is a great venue to get up close and personal to the track and the racers. Lots of camping available on-site.
I personally drive due east to St. John, N.B., about a 4 hour drive, and take the ferry to Digby, N.S. which is about an hour north of where I live near Yarmouth. If you're interested, I have a great place on Ellenwood Lake with lots of camping space and things to do (water skiing, wind surfing, swimming, etc.) I have a two bedroom cottage which may be available as well. Send me a P.M. if you're interested. BTW, we also have lobsters -- about $5 a pound last time I checked.
