Tom,

I thought you were going to buy my motor? (just kidding)
I hope everything is OK, I am surprised you have put your car up for sale. I hope it sells fast. Any other plans or are you getting out for good?

Hello Tom,

I gave some serious thought to your "D" engine. The price seemed right for a good El Mirage motor, but being on the edge for the long pulls @ Bonneville just didn't figure in my plans.

I still haven't made any firm decisions on my car. This is kind of an exploratory thing. I'm not planning on building another car. Still have a couple of street rod projects to complete before I get to old to enjoy them.

Anything more on your?

Best wishes,

Tom

Glad to hear it is not medical related. I agree about enjoying the other aspects of Hot Rods. I just got my 10 footer back on the road after being in storage for 12 years. ( my car looks great from 10 feet away LOL )

I am going to try and take the Roadster to El Mirage for the July meet and see if anyone might be interested in it.

Thanks,

Tom G.

Hi Tom,

I know what you mean. I have a 5 footer '57 Chevy. Runs good, but no show car.

I'm not sure exactly where you are located, but you might also think of taking your Roadster down to the Long Beach Hi Performance Swap Meet.

You could probably get some good exposure there.

I didn't mention it in my first post, but I am not adverse to trades of comparable value. Street Rod, Hot Rod etc.

I am going to take a couple more detailed pictures and post them tomorrow.

John,

It would probably be cost prohibitive because of the reconstructive surgery to have my balls enlarged!

Wish I had cash or something to trade.  Looks like a real nice car, to bad I am moving and the cost of 2 houses prevent any fun purchases.

How tall and heavy is the current driver?   Just wondering if I might fit . . . .

6'2" and 250 pounds (also age 66).

Some other information that might be helpful: the roll cage is 24"s wide at the shoulder bars (main hoop). The dimension from the seat to the top of the roll cage is 38"s.

I modified the cage twice to get the right fit and ergonomics.

I once sat in the car fully suited and strapped in at El Mirage for about a half hour waiting for the wind to die down. It was a November 2 day meet so the suit actually felt pretty good. The race that day was cancelled but I had a #2 starting position the next morning. My point is that the car is comfortable for a guy my size.
