Found it.... not the hot poker.... the smiley problem, the play webpage animations box in advanced options was not checked.... must have been something else I did to cause that....

Just wondering what browser you're using.  I just got done poking around, and -yup- it all pointed to a browser setting.  Congrats on finding and fixing it.
