Trying to figure out the best nozzel placement for driver area. What do you think?

What fire supresion agent are you using? If a foam type the nozzle needs to be aimed towards the surface to be cooled the should be one one each side of the drive so that the drivers body/legs do not create a "shadow area.

Coldfire foam. Found this. First part shows good visual of nozzel coverage.

The heads provide great coverage. the issue is you don't want the foam aimed at the driver as when it get on the visor of the helmet you can't see and it only slears when wiped with a racing glove. Got mine from Joe Timney at DCW and of ECTA fame. He recommends aimin it/them at the fire wall to cool the surface and prevent flame intrusion.

Any thought on special construction? There is usually a low pressure area around the back of the canopy.  If you open the canopy while still moving you suck it into the drivers head area.

There are several drivers we all know of, that have had this issue!

" He recommends aimin it/them at the fire wall to cool the surface and prevent flame intrusion."

This is good advice for a front engine car. I was thinking on a small driver area rear engine special constructon car to aim it at the lower leg and seat area. As Sparky said, even on a open car without a canopy I suspect it will get pulled up to the upper part of the body

Sorry, not thinking RMR. Still foam in the face is not good. How about a nozzle behind the driver pointing slightly back/up to flood that low pressure area?

I think that is the reason Fast Freddy now runs an enclosed canopy.  May be why Contrivance roadsters have that "funny" roll cage area    :?

Here is our final nozzel placement. 10 lbs for driver. The nozzels are 180* by 45*

PS. I see how I rate around her, almost twice the views of Celia sanding than me sanding. :-P
