The guys in NY play differently. They used the police and other vehicles, like a video game, in their LSR efforts.

193mph in the rain on a public highway. Can you say retard.
The speed that you wish to achieve is only limited by the depth of your wallet.

When (if?) this baby hits 88mph, you'll see some serious poo.

Don't know about everybody elses local Bike guys, but around here they seem to totally ignore the cops, especially if in packs. And, the cops can't seem to do much about them. I live off the Taconic Parkway here in Westchester, well south of that Albany area of I-87, and I hear these guys fly by at all hours of the day and night. Seriously, why buy a bike capable of these speeds if not to trash speed laws ?
I got some trooper pals up that way, mebbe we can set up an impound next to the Albany courthouse, get DW to charge for official LSR records certificates, Apres summons, your conviction is your time slip ? Even with 14 tickets probably still cheaper than a weeks rooms in Bendover.

Darn! With a "New York Mile" title and concerning motorcycles, I was hoping this thread would be about the flat-track events that I loved watching at the Syracuse fairgrounds! :-D

Sorry about that! Miss Ascot here on the left coast! Flat track is alive and well in Europe. I was in Rzeszow, Poland a couple of weels ago. There is a very active stadium there that I was hoping to see some racing over the weekend. Unfortunately the team was competing at another stadium and even more unfortunately a team member, I believe he was a Britt, was fataly injured when he hit the wall after a collision. There was a nice memorial to him at the stadium. The racing is covered regularly on European Sports Network which is available in the many Pubs
