SFI and dates on window nets
« on: May 15, 2012, 06:52:15 PM »
I cant find any info on SFI for window-door nets. My net SFI tag states it was made in 07 and was wondering how long before it will have to be re-certed or replaced. All I can find is 3.d.3 but think that is referring to the arm/belt restraints.

THanks....

There is no required replacement date for window nets. The net must be SFI tagged. Once again, don't read into the rulebook words that do not exist.

On the other hand, be as safe as you think you and your family need/want to be.

While we're talking dates, I want to mention that SFI is now recognizing the dates on H&NR devices giving them a 5 year life span (I think).  Don't worry... from what I understand there won't be any enforcement on this this year but the H&NR devices will start to be treated the same as belts and limb restraints and will eventually need to be re-certed.

Just an FYI...
