I think replys 11 & 12 from Joe Timney answers any questions. The rules are for everyone. The insurance companies read the rule books. If something goes wrong they will be all over it. The bike is beautiful and is a show piece, display it.

It has pedals. Are they for starting it? Cant you just pedal it going then hit the ignition switch? It also looks like a hand pump for the oil pressure. That is so cool. You will have to make some sort of chain guard to cover the top of the chain. Will the throttle snap closed when you let go of the grip? Will it return to idle?

Do the pedals drive through some sort of sprag clutch? Or must the rider keep his feet up to speed when under power- or keep all his limbs clear of the pedals?

I'd guess it'd run afoul of the notion that you can't disengage the drive line. That's what happened to the three-wheeled blown DeSoto fuel dragster with casters that is an all-time favorite of mine.

pedals are fixed, this being a period corect board tracker, thats what they did, has a kill switch, throttle returns, chain guard is being fabricated and the best news......don went to the southern old bike meet and found a brake, at least most of one....we are on our way.
