Ken - THANK YOU 1000x over.  You just keep showin' up!

For those of you who don't know, Ken has been in Short Shutdown for several years, just doing the job faithfully. and w/o fanfare.

Thanks Dan - and all you wonderful folks who have allowed me to be a part of LSR. Regretfully, the inaugural event of the ECTA Ohio era was probably my only chance to be able to make the trip. I had hoped that there would be throngs of new volunteers ready to help move this great adventure on. This is why I implore the racers' friends and family to jump in and take part in another rewarding experience of the larger event. There were hopeful signs in that both of the guys in shutdown with me saturday also had their wives helping in other capacities. Given the incredible spectator turnout at our first meet, many will make themselves available to fill in and help carry this club forward. I'm not gone, I'm just not there. Thanks everybody.

I know that there is some effort to get local car clubs involved and I think there's been some progress on that front.  It would be nice to have local (like from Columbus, for example) folks for whom this would not be such a hardship to attend and work.
