Julian Doty
« on: April 18, 2012, 12:09:22 AM »
I heard from Jim Miller tonight, he has been missing the last two weeks. Jim reports that Julian is now at home, on Morphine and is being watched 24/7 by Jim and two others. There are a couple of care givers who come in during the day. Julian is the victim of cancer and all the complications that come with it.

Looks like Julian is on the last lap - please keep him dear in your prayers.

We miss Julian at the Sidewinders meetings.
I remember when he first found out he was ill.  He told us he was taking a strange concoction of medications and that the color of the medicine was orange…….with a straight face and completely deadpan Julian said, ”I call it....... Orange Julian”!
Please keep Julian in your prayers.

Sad to hear. Julian was always quick to laugh.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

I met him at Gas Up many years ago. He certainly had been there and done a lot.

Julian was a good guy. The stories he told were priceless. He was always there for you if you needed him. I am sure he is bench racing with all his old friends right now. RIP and Godspeed, Mr. Doty.
