Geezers - Baker has it right.  If the motor is gonna scatter you want it to go on the dyno.  It's safer and there's still a chance to do something about it.  The new power sounds great!

As far as the "R" word - 'tain't gonna happen.  We simply won't allow it.

Looking forward to seeing y'all there.

Believe it or not, other than the temp. thing, the weather down here in southeast NC is much the same, if you don't like it wait a couple of hours.Case in point, the last race at maxton!

Oddly, the temperatures have been rouughly the same down here this week. Someone confused our February for April. Call Bill Murphy and check The Farmer's Almanac - always more accurate.

We leave this afternoon and will be driving through the severe weather forecast area.  It was the same way when we went to Texas last month.  We drove through driving rain, wind, tornadoes and hail. Makes for an interesting trip.
The weekend forecast isn't making me smile though. 60% storms on Sat and 30% on Sunday.  Hope the cross groved surface dries quickly.
See you all there.

Made it to Wilmington.....Yeah. 8 3/4 hours door to door. I already miss my 2 hour treck to MAxton (LOL).
This was enduring 3 1/2 hours of torrential downpours and fog from Mt. Airy, NC to Beckley, WVA and this was through the mountains.....not fun.

Talked with some of the Geezers Racing team (staying at the same motel) a little and really nice guys. I hope that Firebird really puts down some numbers this weekend.
Saw Lawson Billhardt towing a really nice looking SN95 Mustang but didn't get a chance to talk with him.

Scoped out Wilmington a little and it is a very nice town. Rode out to the Air Park and man what a facility. I did not get to the runway we will be using.....will get to see that tomorrow.

I'm here just spectating and volunteering this weekend so racers: GO FAST, HAVE FUN and STAY SAFE.

Got checked in to the Wilmington Inn about 6:30... Heavy Rain over fancy Gap made driving a chore.

Nice little place,, has a Damon's Ribs (with Bar) and a Bob Evans in the same parking lot,,, great set up.

We made it as far as the VA line.   VA should spend alittle more money on road repairs. Hit a pot hole and blew out the left front.   will be looking for a Nitto Invo in the am. Hopefully will make the 4pm rookie meeting.
