Sorry to have to bother you guys with this.  I totally would have done this at work but I didn't get the chance and I really wanted to get this done this weekend.

John, yes it was a very shallow angle but I was able to weld it up just fine.  No mill at home or near by.  Just a hack saw, angle grinder, bench grinder, and belt sander.  Tacked it with the MIG and finished it with the TIG.

Rex, I've seen your A but didn't know you had another project in the works.  Any details?

I am working on a small lakester, plan to start by running in the "J" engine size class, 750 cc. Basic plan is NACA 66018 in plan view shape, and I plan to fabricate the body from aluminum, figure by the time I get done I might know how to use an English Wheel! Suzuki GSXR750 engine. Going to be pretty small, 26 inch wide, 145 inch long. The plan is to have by son, who is much thinner than me, to drive. Probably a couple of years off. Doing basic frame and body form buck right now and finishing the design for the final drive. Once I get a little further along I will probably start a build thread.

I ran across this web site and the guy has a method using Solid Works to make templates for tube junctions. Certainly beyond me, Solid Works dump, but probably be real helpful for your project.
