Price lowered to $ 9500. or will consider a reasonable offer.

These are some of the safest race cars available for Land Speed Racing. If we run our car after this year, it might make sense to rebody it with an actual '97 T-bird shell, that way, we run in a class that 'The Powers To Be' find acceptable.

Because these cars (Nascar) run Time Only (TO), there is no class or recognition, other than breaking the speed mark set by Russ Wicks, which is 244.6+/-.

Why would you have to rebody the chassis? Russ ran his car is almost race trim, would the person who attempts this goal be configured the same?

Dan - "almost race trim" might be how someone involved in Russ's build might describe it, but that crew would have been plenty tired  after pushing that car through NASCAR tech time after time trying to get ok'd to race there. Which is why these cars should run TO, as the year to year body templating would be close to impossible to enforce. Me, I only use the engines... :-D    vic

Might do that next year, after our September "Assault On The Salt".

if you have all your buddies come out to the salt or elmo you can probably make a class for it look at those rear engine roadster things, and then we can have a rule book that has 300 pages
