« on: March 06, 2012, 05:31:38 PM »
Hoosier Daddy Racing @ BUB 2012
19 year old rider very excited.
80% complete, and picking up speed.
Remaining needed parts enroute.
Dyno tune date, end of April.
Rolling test, Mid-May.
See you all in August...Dad works while Son races.
Trying hard to not be jealous.

Nice.  Did you make the frame and tank?  Going with shocks?

Nice.

Way to go Drew! And that is QUITE a sacrifice - you working on the salt while the son gets to race on the salt. Maybe next year you can reverse roles.

Still bringing my Son to race, but now on alternate machine.
After some serious time with the calculator it was determined
the Jawa was too far away monetarily for this year. (Poopie!)

He will be aboard a 35 year old motorcycle I have owned for 34 years.
The entry number is #1957
He is 19, and I am 57.
Plus, this type of bike was first produced in 1957.
Works for us.

Hoosier Daddy Racing...still on line for BUB meet.
See you all this August.

Bummer! One year too new to be vintage!  When I was 19, I got my first real motorcycle, a 1961 Matchless G80TCS (600cc single, for those who don't know the Matchless Typhoon.)  My Dad had already passed, so I was on my own; never got a chance to do a project with him.  Now I have two boys and a girl, all in their 30's, and none of them interested in motorcycles.  Bummer, again.

Now you'll have to post a photo so we'll know him when we see him.

When my son got home from work I asked him to go up to the loft and get my tech. tool box that I use to house all my engine measuring equipment, and told him he needed to take off all the brake lines and calipers from our race bike for rebuilding. After ten minutes I wondered what he was still doing up there. Evidently I'm the only one having anxiety attacks about trying to get our bike done in time for the BUB meet. Sheesh!  :?   :-)   :-D
