where would the foam go?  under your ass?  no suspension?  no front or rear axle?  nothing to attach your wheels do?  are you using new hover technology?  i kid, i kid but you don't necessarily need sprung suspension.  i don't see anything saying that you need sprung suspension on a str.

OMG Nathan!!!!.... be fair, be fair!!!!... LOL.... This guy lives about 300 miles from me .... so he is a Pacific Nor'Wester.... anyway, I am pretty sure that, even with really GOOD hover technology, he would be disqualified from running as it is no longer an automobile as defined in the rules.... it would legally be a type of aircraft....

Back to serious now... I know that solid suspension is in use on many vehicles that run at Bonneville. I sort of thought though, that the Street Roadster designation had something about street equipment but I am not a roadster specialist. Check out somewhere in the rule book, (I think, anyway) there should be car/body category committee contact people... things like special construction committee, roadster committee etc... along with names, telephone numbers, email addresses etc.... or check the URL below.... one listing is for- Car Technical Co-chair... Lee Kennedy....contact him - he will either answer you or steer you to whomever you need to contact. I hope this helps.

the 4.dd "street equipment" definition is still definitely in the book but i've lately wondered why.  it isn't referenced anywhere in the book for any class including str.

Nathan - that is the clause to which I was referring.... and I used to be re-iterated in all of the relevant body categories to which it applied (i.e production coupe/sedan, gas coupe/sedan, grand touring and, as i recall, street roadster.... Like I posted....Mitchell, you need to contact the roadster tech committee chairman.... (Nathan - Is it Russ Eyres?)

Dave Davidson's 300 MPH roadster doesn't have a front axle.

They look to me like stubs affixed to the frame.  (Kinda look like a '35 Ford spare tire mount.)  I could be (and often am) wrong.

In any case, it obviously has no front suspension, which answers the original question.

But, the question was about Street Roadster class, 911 is a Fuel/Gas Roadster class car.

You're the expert, sir!

I wasn't aware that there are rule differences between the four roadster classes vis-a-vis suspension.
