I was with Vesco when Ford brought their bullet to B'ville. I think it

was a USFRA meet.

Four runs. Two on street tires at normal ride height.

Two with B'ville tires and lowered.

In the 160s with streeters and 180s on race rubber.

Loaded it back in the trailer and headed East.

Holly Hedrick drove it.

800+!!! That is impressive. Don't you just love those "hair dryers"!!! I you can't go fast with that you had better stay home! Now can it do that for 5 miles?

Looking at the pic of your car that salt "bonded" to the front bumper area may have a story to it. You may want to consider some sort of air damn.

that picture was taking in the staging lanes after we towed the car 4 miles or so. A couple pages back there's a picture with my father and me standing next to the car after a run. The salt doesn't build up there.

As far as an air Dodge, we will have a few things to try this year.  I do want to push the NA record higher as I think I can get another 10 mph out of it.

edit: I can't believe the setting on this web site are so tight that you can't type "air da m" without it changing the word to air dodge .......

I've read the write-up on that car. We learned a few things from it

Obviously the filter doesn't know the difference between d-a-m-n and d-a-m.  :-D :-D

Let me test the curse-word filter this way:

Damage

Damsel

Damnation

Hoover Dam

If it changes them around we'll know that the machine looks for some of the letters in the correct sequence - not necessarily all of them.  I've been wondering, what with the recent flurry of Dodges, what was going on.  Maye I can tweak the system.

First edit:

Those came through okay, didn't they?  Now I'll try air dam and airdam and air Dodge and airdamn.

Second edit:  Well, there you have it.  To trigger the filter the word in question must be freestanding.  Or so it would seem.

getting a bit closer..... but could use another couple of weeks

Dad working on the clutch set-up:  He's surprised it worked in 2012, Tilton 3 disk, it was all screwed up in the adjustments but not now.

Fixed a dent in the panel that has bugged us for two years. I thought dad's friend was going to just pop it out. He popped it out then painted the entire panel .... he matched the paint near perfect:

Had left-over paint so they decided to paint the roll cage:

Tented Lexan windows get put in this weekend

the 188 mph ( 342" stock block) Mustang on the scales getting the weight added and moved around. We added 700 lbs now at 3,600 lbs with 53/47 split front to rear: hope to get it to run 190 this year

The MkViii will hit the scales next.

for your viewing enjoyment:  click to play   ( 8,000 rpm, 20 psi boost, 559 lbs ft, on a soft tune-up )
